...When poppies black are worn this eve, the blood moon cries and sighs uneased. For she who meets her fate tonight, becomes the dark lord's one true bride... This is an original verse written by me especially for this piece. A seemingly innocent lady vampire prepares for her night time wedding. One of my less detailed paintings, I opted for the somber and mysterious colors of the night accenting it with the blood red moon crying overhead. Her stylized unfurled bat wings have a light tracery of silver, and a chaplet of black poppies adorn her dark hair.

6 Jan 2005	Halfling418	Loading... Yeah. Definitely stylized. I really like the look of the flick Hercules, and that's got the same stylized feel. The movie's also has an ancient look as well. I can see the Gothic look you were going for--art history class has done wonders for me!
