Tag As FavoriteComment		 And--come Harvest time--when the vines and trees are heavily laden with luscious fruit--the lovely Harvest Angel comes to do her part. She assists in the harvest of assorted grapes and puts in her own special magic into the season's first batch of wine. I've given her a butterfly patterned gown, and a headdress of wild passionfruit flowers and leaves. Like most of my pieces--this was done on thick, acid-free Arches watercolor board in ink, watercolors, and acrylics.

The colours are so warm and inviting, like an autumn sunset. I love her expression and the leaves adorning her head.

I can't believe there are no comments! I just like everything about this pic! The warm colours are perfect, the frame is very cool and it must have taken you ages but what is really captivating is the angels face and hair decorated with beautiful flowers....

Perfect Autumn colours. People often forget that there are purples and blues in that pallete.
I'm an autumn shades person, so i think I'll look at this picture next time I'm deciding what colour to wear.

The way you draw fruits and flowers reminds me of the meticulous botanical prints one sees in museums and old libraries. They draw my eye as much as the figures. Very special.
