Tag As FavoriteComment		 One of my more whimsical pieces--my thoughts have soared to the heavens for this one--a nightime sky where one can witness the playful banter between a Lady lunar moth and the Man-in-the-moon! The friendly moon has magically transformed himself into a much smaller size, so that he and Lunamoth can have a 'proper visit'. This was done in thick acid-free watercolor board with ink, watercolors, and acrylics.

The colors of the piece, the composition, Lady-Moth, those oriental painting-like stylized clouds - everything, everything here looks perfect t me!

That’s not a lunar moth. Lunar moths are green.

Luna moths are a kind of neon greenish/yellow. This looks like a cross between an atlas and a promethia moth.
