"OCEAN SANTA" by Jade N. Bengco

I just had to do a Mer-Santa for this Yuletide season and nothing says Christmas more than this chubby little fellow--whether he has legs or a fish tail! Another addition to my Whimsical Series, this Ocean Santa prepares his woven seaweed bag of goodies for all the little mergirls and merboys. Sprays of undersea poinsettias flank the rotund sea-elf and behind him stands a wonderful white coral Christmas tree waiting to be decorated by his assistants. A chubby mer-snowman with a pale blue trumpet shell hat looks on happily! Santa wears a coat of woven red seaweed trimmed with paper-white petals of the rare albino sea anemone. Check out his large impish blue eyes and that mysterious Mona Lisa smile. He could be thinking about who's been naughty and who's been nice! Great colors on this little painting--the image doesn't do it justice at all.
