Tag As FavoriteComment		Here's another merman--a tropical hunky one, this time. This was a commissioned piece and am happy to say that the client loved it! A first for me--a merman in a setting complete with a clear lagoon, a friendly turtle, exotic orchids and other flora, a bird of paradise, luscious fruit, and of course--a fresh young coconut to provide a refreshing drink! This was done on 140 pound watercolor paper in ink, watercolors, and acrylic.

You have a marvelous talent for skin tones, and men are particularly difficult since the skin generally adheres more closely to bone and muscle. Lots of subtle little shadows. You pull it off extremely well. =)
